Reports to: Manager, Accounts Receivable Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Receivable, the A/R Administrator is responsible for the timely processing of invoices and customer payments and resolving any issues related to incorrect or outstanding payments Core Accountabilities • Actively participates in the collection of outstanding accounts. This includes the reconciliation of payments, invoices, data entry and troubleshooting billing issues. • Research and process MSP/MOH/NSI rejections including correction and rebilling claims; • Investigate and process unresolved private and non private invoices. • Edits patient/account information in the LIS/Billing. • Receives and sorts account payments. Processes and accounts for billing invoices and MSP/OHIP/other payers remittance • Handling and troubleshooting all incoming billing phone and walk-in inquiries from all internal and external customers • Identifies areas for improvement within the department Minimum Hiring Requirements • Post-Secondary Education with a focus on accounting. • 1-2 years of account receivable and collections is preferred. • Understanding of accounting principles and practices, invoicing and processing of payments • Background in Laboratory Medicine is considered an asset • Knowledge of Microsoft Office • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and co-workers alike
