Accounts Payable Clerk – Vaughan – Ref # CTH-RP
The Career Foundation is currently seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of one of our employer partners; a privately held Manufacturing Facility in Concord (Vaughan), Ontario. The Accounts Payable Clerk takes care of the accounts of the company.
- Location: Concord (Vaughan), Ontario
- Job Type: Full-time
- Wage/Salary: $19 per hour
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Growth/Benefits: Generous benefits after probation period
- Number of Vacancies: 1
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records.
- Compute and record numerical data.
- Check the accuracy of business transactions.
- Perform data entry and administrative duties.
- Ensure the accuracy with supporting documents.
- Post Vendor invoices after confirming with management.
- Post Vendor and other payments into the Bank Ledger.
- Investigate any price and quantity discrepancies and resolve.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve vendor related issues.
- Reconcile statements and vendor Invoices.
- Attending emails and answer any vendor related queries.
- General office duties as required: filing, faxing, and year-end/month-end duties.
- Other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting and finance.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Adequate working knowledge in Excel.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Must be able to quickly grasp the essential issues of a problem and clearly and concisely communicate the solution.
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision and function well in a team environment.
